A passion for sport. A pathway into work.

Learn through experience

At Verse Sports, we want our hubs to create opportunities both on and off the pitch.

As we develop our sites, we will be offering paid apprenticeships, practical training and work experience that help local young people build skills, gain confidence and take their first steps into employment.

Working at a sports hub offers the chance to learn by doing, with support from experienced staff and training providers.

Our apprenticeship model combines paid work at Verse with structured learning delivered through an approved training provider. Alongside formal training, apprentices would gain practical experience of running sports facilities and supporting the people who use them.

Developing opportunities in the following areas:

More than one route into sport.

Opening doors for young people

We particularly want to reach young people who are outside education or employment, or who would benefit from a more practical approach to learning.

Our aim is to provide a supportive environment where they can take on responsibility, discover their strengths and develop skills that employers value.

Skills for the future

As Verse grows, we hope to create opportunities for participants to progress into roles within our business. The experience and qualifications they gain should also help them pursue opportunities across sport, leisure and other industries.

Register your interest

We are developing our training plans alongside our future sports hubs. Opportunities will be introduced as sites and training partnerships are confirmed.

If you are a young person interested in a future opportunity, or a school, college or training provider keen to work with us, we would love to hear from you.

“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do”
